Wellness and nature take center stage in Taikoo Li Qiantan, the new development taking shape in Shanghai’s Pudong District. In a recently launched digital magazine created by our client Swire Properties exploring key elements of the Biophilic design, the intricate connection between nature and wellness is understood as the driving force behind the many design decisions which propelled the project.
Generous amounts of verdant landscape are integrated into the façade at multiple levels to further enhance wellness and the project’s overall connection to nature.
Throughout the retail village, natural light punctuating high canopy trees and soft green understory coalesce into a park-like atmosphere which serves as the project’s main respite green space . At the fourth level, a one-kilometer jogging path links roof decks, landscaped gardens and wellness areas.
In addition to the lush ribbons of green space that flow throughout the project and out towards the river’s edge, the natural landscape of the area is reflected in building materials. Taikoo Li Qiantan is quickly moving toward completion and slated to open this year. Visit the magazine in the link below.
