From initial sketch to realized form, Dongguan International Trade Center has been moving swiftly along and inching closer toward its 2021 completion. When completed, its five towers – including studios for creative technology companies – will rise above a six-level retail complex of stores and restaurants. The tallest tower – an office building crowned by a club, an observation deck and a symbolic lantern – will rise 427 meters, making it the 23rd tallest skyscraper in the world.
Conceived as a master planned, mixed-use project, the Dongguan International Trade Center broke ground in 2012 in the middle of the city’s downtown and is intended to play a vital role in shaping Dongguan’s new identity as an artistic creative haven.
