Built on the TangQi’s historic legacy, the Hangzhou masterplan will preserve the traditional heritage of the region while also creating a seamless modern experience expressed through art, architecture and cultural staples. The site, located in YuHang district of Hangzhou, is approximately 20 kilometers from Hangzhou center and 13 kilometers from Linping saterlite city center. The famous Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal travels through the town and has been an important water portal to surrounding cities such as Suzhou, Shanghai, Jiaxing and Huzhou.

Throughout the ages, the development of water transport led TangQi to immense economic and social development. This master plan  seeks to build on this foundation by further engaging the many assets the region has to offer.
