In 2005, Kangwon Land Hotel and Casino Resort in the mountains of Seoul became the country’s first hotel and casino for South Koreans rather than foreign tourists. Its success as a casino led to the inclusion of a golf course and ski facilities, transforming it into a rounded family resort. Kangwon Land’s continued popularity prompted the 2010 addition of a five-star luxury hotel. Geared for the business traveler as well as the sports enthusiast, the 23-floor hotel has 250 rooms and all-new restaurant and spa facilities.
