Henderson Haizhu Plaza is located in the main commercial district of Guangzhou, China, adjacent to the historic Haizhu Park and existing cultural building, facing the Pearl River to the south.
The undulating exterior building is inspired by the rolling mountains of Southern China, while the retail interior space reflects the canyon landscape, with the winding horizontal circulation and stacked vertical courts. The plan configuration is fluid allowing one space to flow into another for an inviting, playful atmosphere.
